Step 2 is our negative screening. This has become common practice within ethical investment products, and it describes what is left out of a portfolio.
We do a negative screening of companies in the following sectors: fossil fuels (oil and coal), weapons, gambling, pornography, banking, mining, cement, tobacco, and alcohol. This reduces our investing universe to approx. 872 companies. We apply a zero-tolerance policy regarding investing in these sectors, since we do not consider them as contributing to the fulfilment of the UN SDGs.
We can guarantee that 0 % of our investments are within these sectors.
